Performance equipment rental outfits are on a perpetual nationwide trek, catering to a kaleidoscope of artistic styles and crafting stage trusses in all manner of shapes to captivate audiences. To stand out, these rental firms typically arm themselves with several suite of cutting-edge design solutions, most of which are ingeniously reimagined from classic blueprints. Buried within their repertoire is often a showstopper that encapsulates the company's prowess. This blog spotlights a South Africa rental company that shot to fame in the industry with its trailblazing design tactics.

◉Traditional design

Initially, the South Africa client reached out for a quote on a classic roof truss setup. We offer several popular truss styles. They finally chose the roof truss, with a structural size of 12x8x6 meters. And add multiple configurations, with 6 rows of lighting grids, complemented by 2 circular lighting arrays, each spanning 4.5 meters in diameter, perfect for suspension. Additionally, they requested a 2.5-meter square truss to showcase a display screen. To elevate the setup, they hoped for an extra truss on either side, each robust enough to support a 6-ton load for suspending screens and audio equipment with ease. According to customer requirements and engineer analysis, the designer finally provided the following drawings.

We try our best to meet customer needs while ensuring stability and practicality, and reduce unnecessary expenses and potential risks. We remind customers that additional suspension configurations will increase rigging and load-bearing pressure. Although the maximum load-bearing load is on the trusses on both sides, so many suspension configurations are best used with caution after testing.

◉Innovative design gameplay

The customer explain that they prepared so many additional configurations in order to collect different types of trusses,which can be reassembled into different truss shapes or split into several groups of small trusses for backup.They hope that through our technical support, they can create an iconic truss structure for the company,make a name for themselves in the industry,and win more orders.

To this end,we designed a truss structure based on the shape of a newsboy cap.This structure has a unique shape and good sound reception.The lights and music are focused on the audience and will not affect residents in other directions.Thanks to the shape,the sunshade and rain protection effects are also better.Suitable for medium-sized performances near residential areas.However, there are also drawbacks.Because it is too close to the ground,a lot of stage space is sacrificed, and additional display racks have to be installed on both sides.

◉Actual use effect

The same set of trusses can be formed into two styles to suit different needs. Roof truss is suitable for those who need a wide view and a large space; Newsboy cap style is suitable for those who need to perform in residential areas, reduce noise and light pollution, and have a more unique shape.

At the same time, it can be split into 2 sets of small shelves to meet more rental needs.
